The first thing that hits me and probably most people is the near symmetry caused by the light effect. It is a stunning picture and has a quality that is lacking in many pictures uploaded onto DA, I would venture as far as to say it is of a professional quality.

The shot itself is a rare one, not for the animal or the pose but the play of the light. I have seen hundreds of jaguars in almost the exact same pose but I can not recall ever seeing such dramatic flare through light.

I also understand that it is hard to produce originality with a photo so I believe it deserved 4 stars. Also vision is something subjective (in my opinion) and is hard to measure 100% in a photo for the same reasons. Everything else could not have been better, I do not believe you could have provided more impact, unless the jaguar was perhaps snarling but you must make do with situations yes?
